About Us: Allen W. Farabee received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University School of Music, his theology degree from Yale University, and his law degree from the University of Connecticut where he received distinction in ethics. Allen served as an Episcopal priest for many years, including nearly a decade as Dean of St. Paul's Cathedral in Buffalo, NY. He is an active member of the Episcopal Church Standing Commission on Anglican and International Peace with Justice, and provides legal consultation to Episcopal Migration Ministries. In his work as a priest, he has traveled to Africa, the Middle East, Puerto Rico and Cuba. In addition, he served as President of the Network of Religious Communities in Buffalo, NY, a major interfaith organization, and has wide experience with the needs and concerns of many religious traditions. Allen has practiced law with the Connecticut Legal Services and the Volunteer Lawyers Project of Erie County, NY, where he directed a program of legal education and advocacy for detainees at the Buffalo Federal Detention Facility. He is a member of the State Bar of Connecticut, the American Bar Association, the Bar Association of Erie County, NY and the American Immigration Lawyers Association. |
